LOUISVILLE, KY - James Graham Brown Cancer Center, part of KentuckyOne Health, has been recognized as one of only 21 cancer programs across the nation, and the only cancer program in Kentucky, that has maintained their accreditation for at least 65 consecutive years (starting in 1948). The Commission on Cancer released a report this month that honors this milestone of consistent quality for cancer programs across the country.
The commission's accredited programs provide their community with high-quality, multidisciplinary patient-centered care. CoC programs evolve in response to new diagnostic treatments, quality assurance and improvement initiatives, and the needs of cancer patients throughout the U.S.
