Police say a man got pinned between these two vehicles after a pickup truck slammed into the back of the red car.

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Two men are dead after a pair of accidents on Sunday.

The first accident slowed traffic on Interstate 64 at the Watterson Expressway for several hours. It happened just after 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the westbound lanes of I-64 not far from Mall St. Matthews.

Police said the driver of a red Suzuki struck a tan Ford Explorer. When the driver of the Explorer got out to take a look at the damage, another vehicle, a black Ford F-250, rear-ended the Suzuki, pinning the him between the vehicles. The man was transported to University Hospital where he later died. He was 46 years old. His name has not yet been release.
